Kirinda Season Ending trip

The close of a most interesting season in Kirinda, one which saw us have many swings in the fishing and weather conditions, a sign of changing patterns in the tropics is something we are all going to have to live with.
Our last group that we fished out of Kirinda was from Singapore and was lead by Ron Chan, we were a bit concerned again about the change of the weather with as the onset of the Southwest monsoon is unpredictable, however the forecast for the week was good.
The guys on the group had a plan and they were out to catch fish, we had appraised them of the tides and we told them the first day would be a bit slow because of the lack of tidal movement but then getting better each trip the progressed.
And boy did the trip get better as the tides progressed, they wanted to warm up and get the tackle set on the first day so will take things from the second day when they went jigging.
On day 2 the group decided they would concentrate on jigging and we had over 30 fish to the boat, so basically non stop action with decent sized fish around the 20 kg mark.
On day 3 an only popping day we had an insane popping day much better than we expected, we landed 9 fish on the boat there was staggering number of misses at 24 fish for the day including one line break on a very large fish and a huge GT that came off the the hook. The biggest one landed was a 25Kg GT.
On day 4 the group after yesterdays action decided to go with the popping like the day before and the results were even better with 15 GT’s landed the biggest a 42 Kg which is a new personal record for Lawrence and again a huge number missed, this day number of missed fish is 25, Unbelievable!!!
On the last day of the trip the group went back to jigging and we had a non stop session from the morning with 34 fish landed including many double and triple hook ups, this day we landed GT, double hook up of dogthooth tuna, bludger trevally, gold spot trevally all to a decent size of about 20 kg
